What I love about being a consultant

July 2024 marks 13 years since Stephanie and I started TakeTwo! In honor of our "baby" becoming a teenager, I wrote down 13 reasons I love my not-job, to share with our BIPOC consultant friends at

I look at the Melton Foundation as “Before TakeTwo” and “After TakeTwo”. Before TakeTwo helped us, the Foundation did not have a clear brand nor did we have strong marketing and development strategies. Taketwo fixed all of that, leaving us with a magnificent new website, a plan along with the capacity for how to market ourselves linked to a clear new brand, and funds development strategy tied to our vision.
