One of our favorite clients is SACSS (South Asian Council for Social Services) – with deeply caring staff and leadership, this mighty community organization and center in the heart of Queens is a lifelong for so many of New York City’s newest residents. Immigrant-focused, SACSS provides comprehensive human services to improve the daily lives of people trying to make their way in our big city.
TakeTwo is proud to have provided SACSS with support in event fundraising, virtual and in person campaigns and events, a capital campaign to open their new beautiful community center, and ongoing communications strategy and execution to help raise their profile and secure more support from diverse stakeholders.
SACSS is a community based nonprofit organization that serves over 50,000 immigrant New Yorkers every year, and reaches more than 200,000. Its mission is to empower and integrate underserved South Asians and other immigrants into the economic and civic life of NYC – particularly Queens. They champion healthcare access for all, support seniors’ thriving, enable food justice, prepare community members for jobs through language and computer learning, provide information on immigration through a legal clinic, develop local youth’s leadership, and engage community members in their civic rights.
