Young New Yorkers is such a special organization. Its mission is to transform the criminal legal system through the creative voices of young New Yorkers. They provide art-based diversion programming and leadership skill development for justice-involved young adults, empowering them to develop artistic expression and the ability to challenge systemic racism and their socio-economic traumas. Once youth enter their doors, YNY is committed to providing them with a safe, welcoming and inspiring space, to reflect on their lives and dreams. They also offer long-term programming so young people can build their skills and work experience in a supportive environment. Since Its founding in 2011, YNY has diverted 1,400 young people from harsh and adult sanctions.

A dynamic, and growing organization in NYC, we love being a part of their team to significantly increase institutional support to expand programming. We’ve also supported the organization through a Founder – Executive Director transition, which we are particularly good at. We like to back up new leaders and help them shine.
